Description
The Mental Expense
Takahara Suiko’s sophomore poetry book with Rabak-Lit, Per Diem: The Mental Expense.
With all these in mind, this is not a body of work for you to consume in one sitting; it is something you can read once a day, crack open random pages, and read at your own leisure and pace. Some poems may have closer connection to the others, but they remain to be consumed no-stress, bite-size, per diem.
2020 Sep 1st: From A to Z
A mess unreadable,
By a life, inseparable,
Conned into thinking,
Despicable acts are in-sync,
Err is part of dusk,
Fantasizing dreamy lusts,
Geared to entice the living,
Hammered by the impending,
Insufferable vicious cycle,
Jammed into the bible,
Kneeling on the altar,
Lamented by the falling star,
Meant to decorate skies,
Not shrivel up and die,
Ominous fate been written,
Pleasing only the smitten,
Queuing for a taste of,
Rumbling in a stand-off,
Sentient is at par,
Treason is at war,
Underneath it all,
Vibrance can be stalled,
With a heart heavy,
Xenial, but far apart staying,
Yearning for freedom,
Zenith reached through sheer wisdom.
